Emir of Zazzau Decorates As WPRF Royal Ambassador

A prominent traditional ruler in Northern Nigeria, the Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli has emerges as the second to be decorated as Royal Ambassador of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) taking place this November in Abuja.

Amb. Bamalli who also serves as the Chairman of Kaduna State Traditional Council was decorated on Thursday, April 16 at the State House in Kaduna at the start of 3rd Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW), an annual flagship programme of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Performing the decoration, the President of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku described the Emir as a good friend of relationship, bridge builder and promoter of peace, traits for which he was considered for the prestigious honour.

He said traditional institution is key in promoting community relations, collaboration and peaceful co-existence which is a key driver in national development, expressing hope that their participation will enrich the WPRF conversation.

Last year, NIPR in a colourful ceremony in Abuja decorated the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya, who also sits as the Coordinating Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria as the first Royal Ambassador of WPRF.

In his acceptance speech, the Emir noted that traditional rulers occupy very important position in the society in shaping values, protecting culture and as first responders in times of crisis.

While assuring readiness to use the office to advance support for WPRF among key stakeholders, he said traditional rulers functions is anchored on service, meditation, guidance and preservation of harmony.

A prominent voice in advocacy for a peaceful society, he said peace is not built accidentally but deliberately, patiently, adding that inclusion, justice, dialogue and mutual respect.

World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026 commences November 15th—21st in November and will attract delegates from over 126 countries who are members of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. 

The event will feature among other things the unveiling of first University of Public Relations and Leadership (UPRL), Reputation House Abuja which will also serve as the new national secretariat of the NIPR, 25th anniversary of Global Alliance and the African Public Relations Association conference to be known as Africa Day.
