The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has activated the secretariat of the National Planning Committee (NPC) of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
Performing the activation, NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku said Nigeria was intentional in its bid to host the Forum, emphasising that Africa is not a continent in dark, but one to reckon with in global affairs.
He thanked the leadership of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management for the confidence reposed in Nigeria to host the Forum expected to have over 3,000 participants from across the world, adding that it's an opportunity for the country to make a bold statement.
"What we are witnessing here today is a demonstration of Nigeria's vision and focus that once we are committed to doing anything, we do it the best way. We are going to show the class Nigeria is known for, we are ready to showcase the excitement of Africa in a record that will not be broken soon", he stated.
While appreciating the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris and the federal government for their solidarity and support, Dr. Neliaku said WPRF serves as a platform for Nigeria to cement itself in a hill where it will no longer be hidden.
In his remarks, the Chairman of National Planning Committee (NPC) of WPRF, Dr. Suleiman Haruna said the activation of the secretariat marks a new chapter towards hosting a successful Forum November next year.
Located at the 7th floor of Radio House in Central Business District Abuja, the office also houses the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) national secretariat.
The WPRF NPC secretariat is expected to be officially unveiled by the President Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, Prof. Justin Green soonest.
