WPRF, Global Referendum on Nigeria's Credibility, Competence — Dr. Neliaku

Published on March 9, 2026

The President of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku says the November 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), Abuja, is not just an event but an endorsement of Nigeria's capacity, credibility, and competence to exercise leadership responsibility in various fields of human endeavour.

He stated this recently when he welcomed 448 new members into the Institute at the 4th quarter 2025 induction ceremony in Abuja.

"Have you wondered why Nigerians excel in every part of the world and in different professional fields? It's because God has graciously made us special breeds and that is why we succeed anywhere across the globe, either in sports, medicine, engineering, ICT or anything you can think of, we bring knowledge, creativity, innovation and competence. That is what makes us special", he stated.

Describing the WPRF as a global gathering of the finest minds in public relations and strategic communication, the NIPR boss charged the new members to become Ambassadors of the Forum by using every platform at their disposal to talk to Nigerians about it, even as he urged them to take advantage of the ongoing early bird registration.

"How we communicate as professionals, how ethical we are, how strategic we think, how united our Institute is— will shape how the world perceives Nigeria long before 2026 arrives and even more, thereafter", Dr. Neliaku further noted.

While assuring that the Institute will continue to equip the new members with professional tools to help them succeed, he challenged them to defend the profession by telling stories that shape public opinion, pass messages that influence policy outcomes and build reputations that affect livelihoods, investments, and national stability.
