The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), which serves as the host organisation for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026 has appointed DAAR Communications Plc, owners of Independent Television (AIT), Raypower FM, and Faaji FM as Official Special Broadcast Partner in Culture, Tourism and Entertainment for the event scheduled to hold from 15th — 21st November, 2026.
The appointment mandates DAAR Communication PLC, to use its broadcast platforms to deliver culture, tourism, lifestyle, and entertainment-focused Coverages and programming for the WPRF that is expected to attract 3,000 delegates from across 126 countries, who are member nations of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. ( The Global body of Public Relations practice and scholarship).
Speaking at the c official signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) ,in Abuja, Thursday, 10th September, 2026, NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku,fnipr, described DAAR Communication PLC as family due largely to the long-standing partnership and collaboration between the NIPR and DAAR Communication PLC. Dr Neliaku stressed that DAAR Communication's root in African culture positions it for a prominent role with the WPRF, which he noted, is a huge reputational project for Nigeria and Africa.
"We have curated unique programmes that will highlight our true identity as a people of rich cultural heritage during the WPRF. We are setting up the Nigeria Experience Zone where our international guests will experience the greatness of Nigeria in our delicacies, culture and entertainment. Our jollof rice festival will feature prominently so that after the Forum, our guests will be the ones to testify to who we are as a people", Dr Neliaku stated.
The Chief Executive Officer ( CEO)of DAAR CommunicationsPLC, Dr. Marcel Anyalechi,FNIPR , congratulated NIPR for her efforts in attracting the week-long Global event to Nigeria, expressing hope that it will have a significant impact on the nation's economy and global reputation rating.
