Ahead of World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026, the host organisation, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has signed Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with West African Democracy Radio (WADR), headquartered in Dakar, Senegal as the official radio partner.
Under the Agreement, WADR a bilingual broadcast station covering the West African sub-region will be responsible for dissemination of information on WPRF Abuja 2026 throughout its network of community radio in the sub-region, where it reaches listeners on radio, online and satellite in English language and French.
Speaking at the official MoA signing in Abuja on Wednesday, 23rd September, 2026, the President and CEO, Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, Prof. Justin Green noted that the choice of WADR, an organisation that recognises and promotes democracy in a responsible way is a suitable to drive the WPRF partnership.
He expressed hope that WADR will play a vital role in mobilising participation from the sub-region for the event expected to have over 126 countries and 3,000 delegates in attendance.
In her remarks, the MD/CEO WADR, Agnes John-Tomasi reiterated the media entity's commitment to continue to produce programmes and amplify messages that impact communities and bring about informed decisions.
According to her, the organisation has a robust manpower, tools and reach to educate communities in democracy and governance, human rights, health, economy, climate, gender, security and more.

Speaking on behalf of the National Planning Committee of WPRF, the Chairman of Work Team for Communication and Media Relations, Dr. Muhammad Kudu Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the partnership with WADR, stating that with its over 100 partner FM stations across West Africa, the media organisation has the spread that will be of significant value in reaching communities with the message of WPRF.
