WPRF: Youth & Students Team Launches Varsity Outreach, Mobilises Undergraduates

Published on March 9, 2026

The Youth and Students Work Team of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026 has commenced a nationwide university mobilisation campaign aimed at driving massive participation of young communication practitioners and students in the forthcoming global public relations event in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The campaign, designed to inspire and prepare the next generation of PR professionals, recorded a major early success with strategic visits to the Department of Mass Communication, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam both in Anambra State.

Focused interactive sessions were held with students of Public Relations, Advertising and Development Communication (PRAD), where participants were extensively briefed on the transformative opportunities WPRF 2026 offers, including international exposure, professional development, high-level networking, and direct engagement with global public relations leaders.

Students were strongly urged to take advantage of the ongoing early-bird registration window to enroll for the programme. The sessions generated remarkable enthusiasm, with many students expressing strong commitment to register and secure their place at what is expected to be one of the most significant PR gatherings in the world.

The university outreach marks a critical step in WPRF 2026 broader mission to mobilise young voices, strengthen student participation, and position Nigeria’s emerging communication professionals at the forefront of global public relations discourse.
